Cookies and a good book...

After watching me head of to my book group every month, Abbie has been asking me for a while now if she could have a book group of her own. So finally in September I finally got my act together and invited a couple of friends over for a little mother daughter book group night. We read 'Where the Red Fern Grows' a classic in my mind. Abbie printed off some book group questions from the internet, and led the discussion. She did a great job. It was very cute. All the girls were pretty into it, answering the questions. After a nice little chat about the book the girls decorated some cupcakes. I had big plans that we would all gather round and learn a bit of long lost cake decorating technique, maybe teach the girls a skill. But it really ended up being more of a free for all for the girls, while all of us moms chit chatted. Way more fun! I had a great time. Wonderful memory!!
