Date Night...

Well, last night Chad and I got a BABYSITTER!! Yeah! We thought we'd have a long awaited night out by ourselves (and Luke of course). We planned on going to dinner and to see that new movie "Wild Hogs" at the valley mall. This is what our night consisted of...

  • Picked up Laci at 5:15 to get an early start on the night
  • couldn't decide what we wanted for dinner, and since we needed gas anyway, ended up going to Costco for their chicken ceasar salad and a pop.
  • needed diapers and a couple groceries, so we made a quick trip to Walmart.
  • got to the theatre and got in the line that was a mile long out the door.
  • got to the front of the line only to find out that our movie was sold out (because we spent too much time at Walmart on a Saturday night).
  • decided to rent a movie at Hollywood video and pop some popcorn.
  • got home, turned on the tv, spent 35 minutes on the phone with dish network because our signal was out.
  • ended up watching the Ferris High School state championship basketball game (with no popcorn), then went to bed.

Summary---Costco, Walmart, basketball game on TV.

We'll have to try again next weekend. It can only improve from there.

Sounds like our usual date night. Always too many practical things to take care of to really just go out and be care free.

Sounds like you still had fun - but hopefully next time will be better.

You're so funny! The fondue looks fun, but I seriously doubt I could get Jeff to the table. Too many cooks in the pot if you get my drift :) Love you!

So familiar. We always try to pack too much in. Lately it's been easier to just stay home and put the kids in bed. I do want to see that movie though. It was the highest grossing movie of the weekend.
