Spring Break

We started off Spring Break this year with a weekend trip to Seattle. We had a great time. We left Thursday morning and spent the day at the mall while Chad had a couple meetings for work. Friday we took the kids to the zoo. It was the perfect day, a little overcast but not cold at all. They loved it. Luke slept the entire time.

We pretty much spent the rest of the weekend eating at our favorite restaurants and just dinging around town. We went to Claim Jumper twice, it's my all time favorite. We also tried this XXX burger place. Check out the burger. It's huge!! It was enough for our entire family.

Here we are at the zoo.

A bunch of crazy monkeys.
Luke can sleep through anything. He loved the sling. We came home on Sunday and had a few days to hang around. Then we headed off to the cabin on Tuesday after work. Kyndra, Aaron, Emme, and Elyse came with us .

We spent the evening playing a new game called Killer Bunnies. It was pretty fun, complicated though. I think it might take a while to figure out. They left in the morning and we spent all day Wednesday cleaning up the yard around the cabin. It was amazing how much garbage there was. Old lawn mowers, bikes, motorcycles, roofing material matresses, chairs, a couple old doors, etc. We started 2 huge burn piles, and took 3 loads of metal garbage to the dump. We made a huge dent in the mess. It was a really satisfying feeling. The kids were a big help too. Chad took Reese skiing Thursday, and we all went on a 4.5 mile bike ride Friday. Alec rode his own bike the whole way. He insisted, it was so adorable, and so much fun.

Looks like you had a great spring break! What is the Seattle zoo like? I'd like to take my family to Seattle this summer or next.

I love Claim Jumper's. The first time we ate there we were told that the portions were big, we thought how big can they be. We were hungry so our group ordered two orders of onion rings along with our individual orders (we also pre-ordered some chocolate cake). HOLY COW. We got way way way to much food! I'm glad you guys had fun.
