Grandma and Grandpa's Halloween visit...

Grandma JoLynn and Grandpa Kent came for a fun-filled, week in October.  We always look forward to their trips, and enjoy them so much.  They are the perfect grandparents.  They are kind and patient and loving.  They make the most of every minute with the kids, playing games, legos, reading, and everything hands-on that the kids want to do.  We packed our week.
We started our week of by heading to Greenbluff to savor the delicious pumpkin donuts hot off the press.  We also picked apples

We found the most delicious, enormous apples called Fortune.

We have a tradition of making gingerbread houses every year at my parents house during our Thanksgiving vacation there.  Since we aren't going for Thanksgiving this year, we made haunted Halloween houses with them.  They turned out adorable.

We were pooped!

Grandpa and the boys spent one day making a Lego car race track. My boys were so thrilled they could hardly contain themselves.

We set it up in the basement. (The boys had previously made one out of cardboard and duct tape.  They were constantly having race tournaments with different lego car creations.  They assign each car a nationality, and give out medals, just like the olympics.  So this is an awesome and exciting upgrade.)

Then of course, what would Halloween be without a little pumpkin carving?

We made the yummiest caramel apples!!  with those enormous apples we picked.

And a day of Halloween festivities.  We went to the school to watch the Halloween parade.  We trunk-or-treated at the church, and we trick-or-treated around the neighborhood.

Sorting the loot.

Went to Manito Gardens and my camera died.

Had a 61st bday party for Grandpa.

Can't forget Claire's first ever french braid.

And probably one if the highlights... We took gma and gpa fourwheeling in the mountains of North Idaho.  We went 35 miles. They were great sports.  We had a blast!

Sometimes we just can't resist the camera...

Three generations of beauty :)

This is one of my personal favorites:)

We're already looking forward to their next visit.
