It was a little chilly, so we were all bundles to the max.
The fall colors and the mountain views were stunning.
Days like this, spending time together as a family doing something fun is why we don't have our kids farmed out to half a dozen different sports teams. It's always tempting to sign them up for fun stuff, especially when they are asking to do it. But when we're out in the peace and quiet of nature, enjoying each other's company, making memories together without all the noise of the world, I remember why we try to keep life simple.
