Birthday Boy...

Over Labor Day weekend Reese turned 10.  Holy cow time flies.  Since we just bought a lake cabin, we decided that it would be a blast to take a few friends and spend the whole day up there.  The weather was gorgeous.  We spent the whole day swimming, tubing, wake boarding, body surfing, barbecuing, and just all around partying.  It was a fantastic day.  We took the boys home exhausted and a little sun-kissed.

This is funny--- We planned a little family party at a park in town.  There hadn't been a single day of rain for two months, and no rain in the forecast.  Well, of course the day of the park party, there was a complete downpour.  We had no backup plan, so someone thought of the bright idea to head to Chad's office and use the conference room for the party.  Awesome, what could be more fun than a party in a conference room with no activities planned (because the park was intended to be the entertainment).  Everyone met us at the office, and it actually turned out pretty fun.  We roasted Reese.  Everyone told their favorite memory of him and we had a few good laughs.  We opened presents, and had a little cake and ice cream.  The first ever conference room party.

The highlight of the weekend was when Becca and Blair had their little baby boy Ryder on Reese's birthday.  We took him to the hospital to see his little baby cousin.  I think it's fun that they will always have that special bond.  They're exactly 10 years apart.

Reese is just an absolute joy to have in our family.  He's such a happy, fun loving, obedient, hard working little guy.  We love and adore him more than I can ever express.  Happy birthday Reesie boy!
